Zemplén Adventure Park

Zemplén Adventure Park and Ski Truck is built on the top of Magas-hegy („High hill”) in Sátoraljaújhely. It has a bobsleigh truck of 2275 m, the longest lane in Hungary, for all seasons. It was opened this July, and started to operate with 50 bobs.

The adventure park has four lanes with different difficulty rates that ensure that both children and adults find their buzzing experiments. There's a 150 m long lane called „Tirol”, and a plastic ski truck with a slide-way is also under construction in the sport centre. The ski truck is covered on 9300 sqm, that ensures that the lane can be used in all seasons. The 200 m long slide-way does not aquire any previous experience. There's lift called „magic rug” to help moving with the skis after a slide. The opening ceremony is expected to be at 24. August 2009.

Here can be found the first ski museum of Hungary as well. The museum exhibits the collections of a PE teacher, Nándor Homonnai and a paediatrician, Pál Boda PhD from the 60's until today.

The ski museum is found in the old ski house, where an additional collection will be exhibited of old ski equioments and lift elements. There will also be a projector room, with films about the history of the hill and the local sport life.
