Central Hungary

Budapest, the capital of Hungary is found in this region. Budapest is an emphasized touristic sight, the beautiful panorama, the Buda Castle Quarter or the prom along the riverbank, its elegant city all make up a real metropolis of Central Europe. Budapest is famous for its museums, the relics and art collections rightly attract both internal and international tourists. Vác, the Danube Curve and Visegrád, or Szentendre are also parts of this region. The Gödöllő hills are also famous for the castle of Queen Elisabeth. Mogyoród with the Hungaroring is found also in Pest county. The spa of Cegléd in the southern part of Pest county is also worth a visit. Cegléd already borders the Great Plain. Buda Mountains at the other bank of the Danube is a popular local hiking destination. If you feel like going for a ship cruise, you can easily find a ship or a boat to take a trip on the Danube.
